Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Brian Holasek (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the website known as OPG Labs at opglabs.com (the “Site”).
OPG Labs is a basic content-sharing website about generative AI and AI engineering projects. We do not run user accounts or sell personal information.
1. Information we collect
Contact email
We do not collect personal information through forms or trackers on the Site, other than what you choose to send us.
If you email us (for example at hello@opglabs.com), we receive the content of your message and related email metadata, which may include:
- Your email address and display name
- Subject line and message body
- Date/time and technical mail headers needed to deliver and process the message
Website and service logs
We use basic website and infrastructure logging to keep the Site running and to investigate break-fix and security incidents. Those logs may include technical data such as IP address, user agent, requested URLs, timestamps, and error details. They are used for operations and incident response, not for marketing profiles.
Contact information submitted by email may be associated with processing records (for example message identifiers) so we can operate the mailbox reliably.
2. How we use information
We use contact email and related processing data to:
- Read and respond to your inquiry
- Operate inbound mail handling (including spam/virus checks)
- Categorize inquiries and draft brief auto-replies where that feature is enabled
- Maintain the Site and investigate outages or abuse
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cloud processing and automated classification
Email you send to us is processed using cloud services (for example hosting, object storage, and email delivery). When auto-reply or categorization features are enabled, message content may be sent to a large language model (LLM) provider solely to classify the request and draft a short acknowledgment. Those systems are instructed to treat message content as untrusted data and not to follow instructions inside the email.
4. Retention
We store emails and associated email identifiers for no more than 60 days, after which we delete or otherwise dispose of them in the ordinary course of operations, except where we must keep a record longer to address a legal obligation, security incident, or dispute.
Operational logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for reliability and incident investigation.
5. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that process it on our behalf to run the Site and mailbox (for example cloud infrastructure and, when used, an LLM provider for classification/auto-reply), or when required by law.
6. Children
The Site does not impose a minimum age. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, contact us and we will delete it as appropriate within our retention practices.
7. Your choices
You can choose not to email us. If you have emailed us and want us to delete a recent message within the retention window, contact hello@opglabs.com with enough detail for us to locate it.
8. Third-party sites and repositories
The Site may link to or reference third-party websites and source code repositories. Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies and any LICENSE files before using linked materials.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
